Jake Garfield came to the Art Department last Tuesday to deliver a woodcut printing workshop for all Sixth Form artists. Jake is a print maker from The Royal Drawing School and delivered an engaging talk, as well as a practical workshop.
Our artist carved into plywood to reveal intricate and meaningful images. They all loved it so much that the following morning many were up in Art 1 asking for the cutting tools again, to finish their designs – a sign of a successful activity!
We look forward to seeing the final outcomes in sketchbooks over the next few weeks.
