Overseas Partnerships Return to Mill Hill!

We are thrilled to announce that overseas partnerships have returned to our school for the first time after Covid-19. Today, pupils heard about our Zambia/ZimbabweTag Rugby Trust Project (TRT) and The Tamil Nadu School Program.

Zambia/ZimbabweTag Rugby Trust Project

Mill Hill has been in partnership with the TRT for over 10 years. During the project, our pupils travel to Zambia and Zimbabwe to work with local teachers and volunteers to deliver Tag Rugby coaching to government primary schools and Orphanages.

After a week of coaching, pupils organise a tournament day where the schools come together to compete for the Mill Hill Trophy. Next, they typically visit the magnificent Victoria Falls, followed by a safari. Pupils can also carry out project work alongside local charities.

The TRT is an excellent opportunity, and we are excited to see their adventures unfold. Click here for more information.

Tamil Nadu School Program

Our pupils visit Sri Jayendra School as part of The Tamil Nadu School Program in India. Sri Jayendra provides local children with a high quality education and a variety of extra-curricular activities. The partnership between our two schools is very special. Whilst visiting the school, our pupils teach English and build relationships with the pupils. They also have the opportunity to fundraise for future projects and sponsor children at the School. The wider Mill Hill community also has close links with the Sri Jayendra. Old Millhillians and parents sponsor around 200 pupils along with dozens of Tsunami victims. Our funding of capital projects has enabled the School to expand to 3,000 pupils (aged 3 – 17).

Overseas partnership programs offer our pupils life-changing experiences and memories that will last them a lifetime, and we are delighted to see them return to our school.
