Sixth Form pupils attend Old Millhillians Club Creative Arts Networking Event

Sixth Form pupils attended the Old Millhillians Club Creative Arts Networking Event at One Blackfriars in their 32nd-floor viewing lounge. With a stunning backdrop of London at night, Old Millhillian Amanda Stavri (McClure, 1992), the Commissioning Editor of Factual Entertainment for ITV, spoke to an audience of Old Millhillians and current pupils about her experiences in TV production and what it takes to have a long and successful career.

Amanda has worked on series such as Love Island, The Cabins, TOWIE, and Real Housewives of Cheshire for ITV2 and ITVBe, as well as Keeping Up with the Aristocrats and Bear Grylls celebrity specials for ITV. Before moving into commissioning, Amanda was a producer, working on series such as Come Dine with Me, Temptation Island, and The Pride of Britain Awards.

It was wonderful for our pupils to hear about Amanda’s experiences and learnings throughout her career. Our pupils really enjoyed finding out more about a career in the media and networking with Old Millhillians.
