Parents’ Day started with the Prizegiving ceremony held on Belmont Field. It was lovely to bring our Belmont community together to celebrate the achievements of our pupils. Congratulations to all of our prize winners. All our Belmontians should be extremely proud of what they have achieved this year.
Several special guests were in attendance this Parents’ Day; we welcomed back Mr James Fleet, former Deputy Head at Belmont, Mr Paul Symes, former Senior Deputy Head at Belmont, and Mr Anthony Spencer, CEO of Mill Hill Education Group. Their presence and words of encouragement greatly inspired both pupils and parents alike.
This Parents’ Day was very special as it marked Mr Leon Roberts’ last as Head of Belmont. In a touching and heartwarming speech, Mr Roberts shared his gratitude and memories, leaving many in the audience shedding a tear. We wish him the best of luck in his new role within the foundation, and his impact on our community will always be remembered.
Finally, we said farewell to our Year 8 leavers. They have been a wonderful cohort, and we are certain that they will thrive in the next stage of their educational journey.
We then moved to the Master’s Lawn to enjoy a fantastic Garden Party. Our excellent catering team prepared a delicious selection of food, including fajitas, cheeseboards, salads, and a variety of desserts. Thank you to our catering team for providing us with fantastic food.
Parents’ Day was a marvellous way to round off the academic year. We hope everyone has a magnificent summer. We look forward to seeing our pupils and parents at the start of September.
