Starting off the academic year Mill Hill hosted a Scholarship Awards Evening for all our Academic and Creative Scholars. There, we were able to celebrate and recognise the success of the pupils who received a new award within Year 9 and Year 12. The evening was a testament to one of our three School Values, Excellence, and showcased the very best academic and creative talent at the School.

During this moment of celebration, the core values of being a Mill Hill Scholar were stressed. They are by nature curious about their subject and show initiative in how they can explore this in a variety of ways across the school, whether that be delivering lectures, entering academic competitions or taking advantage of the exclusive opportunities that the scholarship programme provides.

Later this term, there was a brilliant opportunity to provide our Scholars with the chance to show such values with our first-ever Scholars' Symposium.

Bringing together Mill Hill’s Academic Scholars, pupils explored questions surrounding Artificial Intelligence (AI). With an opening speech from History and Politics teacher, Mr Max Traeger and a variety of Humanities and STEM-based workshops and talks, pupils concluded the afternoon with a keynote speech from journalist Alex Beard about Human Development in the Age of AI.

This unique opportunity blended academic disciplines and allowed scholars of all age groups to interact, discuss and think critically.

We are looking forward to seeing our Scholars getting involved in future events and what they will produce as the next generation.
