Careers Support From Our Old Millhillians Club Network
Parents will be well aware of how much the school benefits from its unique alumni network. The Old Millhillians Club support for existing pupils is stronger than ever, and a calendar of career networking events that runs through the year, is giving pupils the opportunity to network and engage in the most pressing debates across different sectors.
This Term, aspiring medics heard from Old Millhillian, Dr Sebastian Lighvani (Clinical Assistant Professor at Weill Cornell Medical College) at The Athenaeum Club, about the most up-to-date thinking about the growing number of individuals suffering from allergies. Pupils considering a career in Finance heard from Dr Robert Barnes (Co-CEO of real estate platform, BPX) at One Moorgate on the Ethics surrounding AI innovation in the sector.
Up next? The Engineer’s Dinner, and the Entrepreneurs Event; keep an eye on upcoming events below.
Old Millhillians Club - Career Breakfasts
To mark the opening of the beautiful new Old Millhillians Club office (located near the Gate of Honour) next term sees the launch of a new initiative: the Old Millhillians Club - Career Breakfasts – where visiting OM professionals meet pupils in a small group setting to give an insider view on what it’s like working in different sectors, and to share advice on getting your career off to a flying start.
The first of these – focusing on Law – is in response to pupil demand, and we will continue to advertise these ahead of time. If you’re an OM, or know someone who is, and are interested in supporting this initiative, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with Laura Turner - omrelations@omclub.co.uk, or Ellen Weaver - ellen.weaver@millhill.group, who are leading on the project.
