We were thrilled to meet with Mr Chris Bajak, Head of Performance Rugby and Saracens Partnership Coordinator. We spoke to Mr Bajak to learn more about him and his roles.

Tell us a bit about yourself.

I am a teacher, Ex Rugby Player and Academy Rugby Coach

Aside from teaching and education, what other things are you passionate about?

Spending time with my family

What was your favourite subject at school?

Silly question PE

What made you decide to become a teacher?

I had a passionate and motivating PE teacher who specialised in Rugby and Athletics.

Could you share an inspirational quote with us? How does it inspire you?

I have two current quotes I like to share. “Everybody wants the view but not everybody wants to climb”. A quote that has helped me achieve more over the last few years and step outside my comfort zone came from a book my daughter was reading Called theThe Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse “What's the bravest thing you ever said?” asked the boy. “Help” said the horse. “Asking for help isn't giving up,” said the horse, “it's refusing to give up.”

What advice would you give to our pupils to ensure that they get the most out of their time at Mill Hill?

Climb.

What excites you the most about your new role?

Every day is different.

What do you want to achieve as the Head of your sport?

The goal is to leave sport/rugby/athletics in a better place than when I arrived.
