We were excited to speak with Ms Amelia Hall, who is the Head of Netball and is a part of the Sports Department. We spoke with Ms Amelia to learn more about her and her role.

Tell us a bit about yourself.

I have played netball since primary school when one of my teachers set up a school team. Since then, I have loved the sport, being selected on a number of tours with England U19s & U21s and I now currently play in the Super League for London Mavericks.

Aside from teaching and education, what other things are you passionate about?

I am a big foodie! I love finding new recipes to try and new restaurants to go to.

What was your favourite subject at school?

Biology.

What made you decide to become a coach?

Coaching is a fairly new adventure for me, but I have always loved playing the sport and found a real interest in looking at what works and how teams and individuals can improve.

Could you share an inspirational quote with us? How does it inspire you?

Find the comfort in being uncomfortable.

This pushes me to embrace new things as coming out of your comfort zone is where your growth begins.

What advice would you give to our pupils to ensure that they get the most out of their time at Mill Hill?

Fully immerse yourself in everything, take as many opportunities as possible that you can and be curious.

What excites you the most about your new role?

I am excited to see the development of players as they progress from year to year.

What do you want to achieve as the Head of Netball?

I want to develop a highly competitive netball programme that supports aspiring netballers on becoming the best player they can be. I want Mill Hill to have a netball programme that drives girls to want to come to this school.
